Welcome to Le Bocage International School (LBIS). I want to welcome you to our wonderful community here in Mauritius!

Since 1990, LBIS has offered the highest quality of educational programming for both locals and expatriates in a safe and nurturing environment. As our school vision states, we aim to inspire global citizens to make a positive impact. Our goal is to offer a learning journey that builds life-long curiosity, open-mindedness, resiliency, empathy, and compassion, characterized by cultural diversity, academic excellence, and active social responsibility.

The educational philosophy and guiding statements of LBIS align with those of the International Baccalaureate (IB). The IB Learner Profile is at the centre of everything we do, both within and outside the classroom. Our students follow the IB continuum, which includes the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for Forms 1-5 (grades 6-10), the Diploma (DP) and the Career-Related Programmes (CP) for Forms 6-7 (grades 11-12). LBIS also offers the IGCSE (Cambridge) for students in Forms 4-5 (grades 9-10). The school is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), the International Baccalaureate (IB), and Cambridge and has also been accredited for the American-based Middle States Association (MSA).

LBIS has a dedicated staff, well-resourced and stunning facilities, and offers a variety of co-curricular activities. Our CAS/Service-Learning programme is unmatched, and our dedication to positively impacting Mauritius and internationally is front and centre, aligning with the school’s mission and vision.
