Welcome to Le Bocage International School (LBIS) and our vibrant community here in Mauritius!

Since 1990, LBIS has provided top-tier educational programming to both local and expatriate families, all within a safe and nurturing environment.As outlined in our school vision, we strive to inspire global citizens who will make a positive impact. Our goal is to offer a learning journey that fosters lifelong curiosity, open-mindedness, resilience, empathy, and compassion, all while celebrating cultural diversity, academic excellence, and social responsibility.

Our educational philosophy aligns with the principles of the International Baccalaureate (IB). The IB Learner Profile lies at the heart of everything we do, both inside and outside the classroom. Students at LBIS follow the IB continuum, which includes the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for Forms 1-5 (grades 6-10), the Diploma Programme (DP), and the Career-Related Programme (CP) for Forms 6-7 (grades 11-12). Additionally, we offer the IGCSE (Cambridge) curriculum for students in Forms 4-5 (grades 9-10). LBIS is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), the International Baccalaureate (IB), Cambridge (IGCSE), and Middle States Association (MSA).  We are also excited to be the latest addition to the US Department of State, Office of Overseas Schools family, and the only one in Mauritius.

Our dedicated staff, well-equipped facilities, and variety of co-curricular activities ensure that each student receives a well-rounded education. Our CAS/Service-Learning programme is unparalleled, and we are deeply committed to making a positive impact both in Mauritius and globally, in line with the school’s mission and vision. LBIS is also an active member of the Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA), and we value collaboration with like-minded organizations, schools, and institutions both locally and internationally.
