Our main and general objective in the Modern Languages Department is, first and foremost, to make students love languages and literature.

This passion and ideal is supported by a whole set of supportive structures for our students. We aim to ensure we place students according to their suitable language level when enrolled. We promote a transition from the Foreign Language to the First Language programs in French. As soon as they are in Forms 3 and 4, students already in Language and Literature are supported to choose the subject in DP, especially those who seem at ease with French literature. In Spanish, where the students are beginners, we support student progression to aim to reach the capable level. We also aspire to offer Spanish as a first Language in DP.
