Welcome to the English Department– an inspiring space that combines literature, language, and critical thinking. We are a group of dedicated teachers who strive to help students of all proficiency levels to communicate confidently in English. Our overarching goals are to enable students to develop both their oral and written communication skills, to read and analyse a wide array of texts critically and creatively, and to write for diverse purposes and audiences. Whether it is for students studying the MYP Language and Literature, IGCSE First and Second Language English, and the IB Diploma courses in English A and English B, our aim is always to offer a relevant and challenging programme that will provide students with a wide array of skills to stand them in good stead in their academic and personal lives, and eventually to fulfil their professional aspirations.
