The Middle Years Programme at Le Bocage

Students at le Bocage have the opportunity to complete the MYP programme at le Bocage. The MYP is an IB programme designed to help students, aged 11 to 16 develop the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and skills necessary to participate actively and responsibly in a changing world. At le Bocage, students can choose between an IGCSE or MYP pathway from Form 4 onwards (grade 9).
Benefits of the MYP Programme
The MYP curriculum framework comprises eight subject groups, providing a broad and balanced education for our learners between 12-16.
The MYP requires at least 50 hours of teaching time for each subject group in each year of the programme. In the final two years, carefully defined subject group flexibility allows students to meet local requirements and personal learning goals. The MYP is inclusive by design; students of all interests and academic abilities can benefit from their participation.
In the final year of the programme, students at Le Bocage sit the MYP eAssessments, which provides IB-validated grades based on examinations and coursework. Students who undertake external assessment are eligible for MYP course results and the IB MYP Certificate, also recognised by Mauritian universities.
